民間アパート

民間の住宅を借りるときは、不動産業者を通じて契約するのが一般的です。また連帯保証人、敷金及び礼金など日本独自の取引習慣があります。
部屋を決めるときは実際に物件を見て、入居条件についてよく話し合ってください。契約内容をしっかりと把握しておかないと、入居後にトラブルが起きることになります。
また、火災や階下への水漏れ事故に備えて損害保険に加入するようにしてください。

連帯保証人について

連帯保証人とは、家賃の不払いや、部屋を明け渡すときの修理費用を払えなくなったとき、あなたの代わりにそのお金を支払う人のことです。連帯保証人は一定以上の収入が求められます。入居申込みの際に求められる場合があります。
本学では日本国際教育支援協会の留学生住宅総合補償に基づく連帯保証人制度（機関保証）は実施していません。本学は連帯保証人にはなりません。
日本国内に連帯保証人を見つけられない場合は、民間の保証会社を利用してください。保証会社については、まずは契約する不動産会社に相談してみてください。
保証会社が見つからないときは、学生課まで相談に来てください。

Private apartments

When you rent a private house, it is common to sign a contract through a real estate agent. In addition, there are business practices unique to Japan, including getting a cosigner and paying a security deposit（Shikikin） and key money（Reikin）.
When deciding on a room, take a closer look at the room and discuss thoroughly about the moving-in requirements. If you do not understand the contract details, you may have trouble after moving in.
In addition, be sure to join property insurance in the case of a fire or a water leak downstairs.

Guarantor

This is a person who pays unpaid rent or unpaid repair costs on your behalf after you vacate rental housing when you cannot make the payment yourself. A guarantor is required when applying to rent rental housing. Guarantors must have an income that exceeds a certain level. You may be requested to have a guarantor when you apply to rent housing.
OMU does not provide the joint guaranteed system (institutional guarantee) based on Comprehensive Renter’s Insurance for international students “Ryuhosyo”. OMU is not your guarantor.
If you cannot find a guarantor in Japan, use a private guaranteed company. Regarding guaranteed companies, first consult with the real estate agents you are signing a contract with to see if there are any guaranteed companies available.
